According to Pete Thamel, Big 12 expansion committee is targeting ND, Arkansas, BYU and Pitt, apparently in that order. ND and Arkansas considered longshots.

Would be a terrible move on their part. Very shortsighted, but I know it is just a rumor at this point.

BYU would have been a yes 12 months ago, now 50% at best and would only join based on their own perceived chances at a BCS at-large.
Arkansas, LOL at any team leaving the SEC

Pitt - wouldn't join the Bevo et al conference because as of today it is less stable than the BE, and doesn't necessarily mean more revenue cause Texas and OU get most of the TV money. They'd be lucky to get a Kansas sized share. This is not happening.
