That's crazy talk revisionist history viewed through some of bluest Husky glasses anyone could ever wear.
UConn was a Top 30- 40 level team when they entered the Big East. Lousy coaching had them fall from that level until JC arrived.

That's crazy talk revisionist history viewed through some of bluest Husky glasses anyone could ever wear. The big east was relevant and by far the best conference in the country before Uconn was anything. 3 out of 4 teams in 85 FF? The 80s juggernauts that were St. John's, Syracuse, Georgetown? Calhoun used to sell recruits not on Uconn but on playing in the Big East.
He's right though about UConn keeping the Big East relevant. Long after the 85 glory days it was UConn and whole bunch of nothing for a long stretch. Syracuse and Georgetown would pop up for a nice run here and there, but UConn was the only consistent Big East power for a while.

All this fighting over a verb. Uconn is the school that elevated the BE from what it was, which without Uconn would have been this: a flash in the pan.

I acknowledge that Mullin, Berry and the rest were a pretty powerful team, but shouldn't juggernaut be reserved for a team that has accomplished something more than making a tinkle final 4 in those years?

Mustapha Heron should reconsider...being a CT kid and all.
