Just saw that, I lime this a lot as bad as the Bobcats are they have more going for them now than the Pistons do. BG still has several years of good basketball left in him, the Pistons were just a bad fit. It will be sweet watching a backcourt of Kemba and BG.

a nice backcourt of kemba and gordon with BB at the 4/5... now they need to grab another 4/5 and its a start

hopefully gordon can start over and get back to the dynamic and proven scorer he was at chicago, loved watching him there... he should be a nice veteran presence for the team as well as someone to help kemba grow

Now the Bobcats should swap picks with the Wizards who are desperate to get Bradley Beal. Bobcats should take either Robinson or MKG, I like Robinson but I would take MKG, that kid is relentless and does it all, winner.

Like this move a lot from a Charlotte perspective, they've got so much cap room open in 13/14 that they can afford taking on BG's contract. If they get the Ben Gordon we saw in Chicago this is a great move on their part, if not they get a first rounder for taking on a contract that their payroll can handle. On the Detroit side obviously Gordon wasn't working out and anytime you can get 14 mil in caproom you do it even if you have to give up what will be mid first round pick. Good trade from both perspectives and it'll be interesting to see two UConn products run the Charlotte backcourt next season.

This draft is so strapped for post players Charlotte almost has to grab Thomas Robinson with the pick. They need to make up for it after picking Biyombo last year.

I'm not so sure Ben just walks into a starting job in Charlotte. there is almost no way they can start Kemba and Ben at the same time for defensive reasons. Not many backcourts succeed starting 2 6 ft guards. with that said tho, Ben is going to get all the shots he can handle on that team and he could easily be a 20 ppg guy.

i may be bias because Ben is my favorite Husky ever, but he's been in some horrible situations and i think this opportunity in Charlotte will come as a breath of fresh air for him and we'll see a break out year from him

You must not have seen him play at all last year - Biyombo actually showed a little bit of promise.

I think the Gordon addition makes it that much more important to draft Kidd-Gilchrist. That way you can hide Gordon on defense and put Kidd-Gilchrist on the oppositions best perimeter scorer. A Kemba-Gordon-Kidd-Gilchrist core is a decent place to start.

The defensive metrics actually show Kemba to be a pretty good defender, although the accuracy of those statistics can be questioned. I don't think Kemba will have too much trouble guarding the majority of NBA point guards, because the back to the basket, Deron Williams/Andre Miller types are fewer and further between these days.

As a UConn fan, I'm obviously estatic to have my two favorite Huskies of all-time in one backcourt. If Kemba and Gordon have their jump shots going next year Charlotte will be an interesting team to watch. They'll still suck, but they'll be interesting to watch.

So exciting! I guess a Lot of us have Kemba and BG as our two favorite Huskies of all time!!!

Biyombo has a lot of potential, he had some moments. Looks the part.

I hate basketball jerseys (just me) but I own a Ben Gordon, the 04 team was such a great ride from the disappointment of Marcus White's shot that got stuck the year before to the very late Charlie V signing, u just knew it would b special!!!

I still expect Henderson to start, but it doesn't really matter, Charlotte is so offensively challenged I don't see how BG doesn't see at least minutes of playing time.

I always was a big BG fan. You could tell from the start that he was going to be a great player. He hit some big shots as a FR in 2002, especially in that years big east tournament. Ben took big steps as a player each year he was at UConn. He showed what he could do with the Bulls and i hope he can get back to being that player again.

I watched quite a bit of Bobcat games last year and there were several games were Biyambo was easily the most dominant player on the floor for either team. He'll be good, gotta remember the kid was the youngest player in the league last year.

Biyombo came on strong as the season progressed. A lot of his potential depends on whether he is actually 19 or is really like 26 or whatever some people guessed.

I like this for the Bobcats. Gordon is expensive and a bit overpaid, but the Bobcats aren't signing any max free agents anytime soon.

Gives them a 3-guard rotation of Kemba, Gordon, Henderson right now. Very poor SF rotation though. It will be interesting to see if they trade down with Cleveland/Wizards/etc. for multiple picks and try to get Barnes/MKG later on in the draft. I don't think they will actually end up with Detroits 2013 pick (lottery-protected) but it's always good to stockpile picks, esp for a team floundering like Charlotte.

Easily my two favorite huskies ever, but let's be real, that's a disaster of a backcourt in the nba. Still gonna love watching it

Was this a pure salary dump? Seems like a steal for Charlotte. It's not like Maggette has done anything.
