I think the Gordon addition makes it that much more important to draft Kidd-Gilchrist. That way you can hide Gordon on defense and put Kidd-Gilchrist on the oppositions best perimeter scorer. A Kemba-Gordon-Kidd-Gilchrist core is a decent place to start.
The defensive metrics actually show Kemba to be a pretty good defender, although the accuracy of those statistics can be questioned. I don't think Kemba will have too much trouble guarding the majority of NBA point guards, because the back to the basket, Deron Williams/Andre Miller types are fewer and further between these days.
As a UConn fan, I'm obviously estatic to have my two favorite Huskies of all-time in one backcourt. If Kemba and Gordon have their jump shots going next year Charlotte will be an interesting team to watch. They'll still suck, but they'll be interesting to watch.
