Pistons likely to waive Kemba

Actually a good thing and has taken longer than planned. Kemba says he feels good (we'll see), so now he can choose a new team is there's a market for him.

Come back to Charlotte, Kemba!!!
This is exactly what the Panthers did last year when they were tanking with Cam Newton.

I think it’s possible, even likely, to sell tickets and because the organization needs leaderships/character BAD. Lamelo Ball cant right the ship.

.-.
Uconn needs to put some players in the NBA asap. Could have 0 shortly

Andre is sticking around for a while
I hope but I don’t know. He’s been playing on one year deals the last few years with low salaries. I think the deal with Chicago is 2 years though

.-.
Danny here we go. Times have changed, but he can be the new age college Carpenter

A few of you have suggested Charlotte. Does that seem like an organization anyone would really want to be a part of right now? I don’t know how much he has left in his knees. I hope he can find a better situation than Charlotte, though.

Kemba not going to Charlotte. He’ll find a team that he can come off bench and that has a chance at a ring. He doesn’t have many years left and will pick a /situation that gives him the best chance to compete for a championship

If Kemba never plays another minute he ends up with:

741 games played and 696 starts
14,414 points and a 19.5 ppg average
3919 assists
921 steals

4x All-star

$160,818,723.00 career earnings

He's got bum knees and doesn't have the speed or explosiveness to compensate for being a small guard. He can tip his cap and hang it up knowing he had a very good NBA career.

It's official, he's been waived.

Bouk, Drummond, Gay and Martin
Not a single starter in the league. I remember a time when only Kentucky and Duke had more players in the league. What was it like 14 players a decade ago?

Bouk could be out of the league with one more screw up.

Gay is one of the oldest players in the league (it’s amazing how long he’s played)

It’s amazing that Martin is even on a roster and I hope he sticks but who knows

Drummond has been playing for almost league minimum in recent years and although a great rebounder, doesn’t play like a modern big

Try not being so negative

Yes. He’s done a great job. Before 2022 he was never projected as an nba prospect by anyone
You realize he got starter minutes in preseason and is going to be in the Hawks rotation right? It's not like he barely scratched by onto the roster and will be the 13th man.

Martin strikes me as a guy who will have a decade-long career being a 8th or 9th-man. He's got decent enough size/athleticism/shooting to be someone you can plug into different matchups and hold the fort down while the starters rest pretty well. His ceiling is very limited, but he isn't a guy that makes a ton of mistakes either. Similar career to (shudders) Ollie, possibly.

We're probably never going to reach 14 players again. Too many guys going G-league and international players filling up roster spots.

UNC has 11, Duke has 19, Kentucky has 25, Kansas has 9, Nova has 10. And most of those guys aren't even very good.

I think if we can have 8+ guys in the league within the next 5 years, we would be very lucky. Sounds crazy, but of the 4 currently in the league, I'm thinking Rese has the best shot of being there. Castle is probably our best bet for a true NBA starter coming into the program. I can't imagine Sanogo/Jackson/Hawkins being starting caliber players, but I do think they all stand a chance of sticking around in the league.

Agreed. Think he's one of those guys that's gonna be a role player. Do his job, do it relatively mistake free, and be a solid presence off the bench. One of those guys the old heads call a "professional"

I’m a big fan and supporter of Tyrese. We have no idea if he will be part of their rotation or not. Second round picks usually go back and forth to the g-league or at best go in and out of the rotation. It’s a long season. If he really is in the rotation on a potential top 6 seed in the east that would be super impressive

I certainly always thought he had a solid shot at an NBA career.
