- Inside to Tarris on the first possession, and it's 2-zip.
- We tried that same approach on 3 of our first 4 possessions, but Reed's getting attacked by a gang every time the ball goes inside. If the refs are going to continue to ignore that, it could be a long night.
- I don't like close games. Bad for my shaky heart. I wish we'd go on a 15-3 run or something...
- Mullins puts us up 7, and I begin to breathe.
- Malachi at 3:56! Turned his missed layup into a 19 foot jumper. It would be his only score of the game, but it was needed and nice.
- Double digit lead at 3:25, and I'm breathing a little better.
- Hall spent 20 seconds winding clock down to set up an end of half bucket, then threw the ball away with 3 left. Brought a big smile to a lot of UConn fans faces, I'm sure. Especially mine.
- 38-22 off Ball's opening 3 in the 2nd half.
- Is not being able to hold onto a lead in the second half going to plague this team for the rest of the season?
- If Tarris could shoot FTs, we'd still be up big.
- Two consecutive clean blocks for Tarris, then the play gets spoiled by a whistle on Alex. Official at half court blew the whistle on a play in the paint.
- Was Mullins' block at 12 seconds the biggest play of the game?
- First stat that hits me post-game. We got 8 points from our bench. Hall got 24 from theirs.
- 51, 28 & 62 shooting percentage to 41, 6 & 60. In the other 3 stat comparison... assists, steals & blocks, we went 14, 8 & 6 to Hall's 6, 8 & 9
- Player of the game has to be Reed, despite his woeful (5 of 13) foul shooting. He went 8 of 13 from the floor and had 9 boards and 3 rejections.
- Special shout out for Mullins with he possibly game saving shot deflection at 12 seconds. He also had 3 steals and a couple blocks to help make up for his comparatively low scoring night.
