Seeing those three faces reminds me of the phrase 'in living memory.'

It's not 100% analogous here, but I thought I would track back and see what the longest stretch has been (at UCONN) where at least one active player owns a championship ring. The longest streak to date looks like it began in 1999 with the NC and ended when the freshmen from the 2004 championship team graduated in 2007, unless there were any super-seniors in that class. So eight years.

The current streak began when Caroline and Heather won the first of their two rings in 2009. We would have to win the NC this year to keep it alive or it will end in 2013 when CD, Heather and Kelly graduate.
