He played so hard when he was in there.......loved that effort. Good for Phil and you could see he was happy to contribute!!

Phil held his own out there for the most part. Played really hard.

I will say, I absolutely love his enthusiasm when you see him on the bench this year too.

Well done Phil!

When it comes to positive attitude there are no better guys than RJ and PN. When it comes to onions there are no better guys than SN and OC. When it comes to effort there is no one better than NG. And when it comes to talent no better than DD and RB. AND PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE 'NO ONE BETTER' is definitely an exaggeration. The point is that these are the best attributes of these players and combined with an outstanding coaching staff who gets them prepared along with the chip on their shoulder, they are able to overcome their shortcomings (inexperience and lack of a front court).

He had a couple of really aggressive rebounds. I loved it. If he can provide some decent defense and rebounding off the bench, that'll be huge for us without Wolf.

Honestly aside from the fact they are older, did Keita or Christmas look much better?

If Cuse had a bruiser big it might have been a rough night, but they don't. Nolan matched up well and didn't shy away. It was a nice game for him.

KO has no choice but to play Phil, and I think that will help Phil's confidence and his play will be better as a result.

Sort of related point: I do wonder what record this team would have if JC was still coaching. Needless to say, JC is one of the all-time greats, but I question whether this particular team could have played any better with him at the helm.
