The playing together factor wound up being a big part of the coaches decision. Team chemistry for the US team is challenging with little practice time, but when the starting lineup has two Uconn players who were together for a year, and three Aces from the last couple of WNBA champions it certainly helps. It seemed like when possible pairing Stewie and Sabrina, and Dee and BG helps too.

I thought it was funny during Mike Tirico interview with Stewie today after game (8/8). He made a lighthearted comment and then focused on Stewie growing up in Syracuse instead of talking about UConn. As most know, Mike attended Syracuse.
