people are going nuts. There are 10 threads blaming everyone from refs to the AD(ok, no one blames the AD for this loss). Calhoun had these games from time to time. Should we have won, yes. is the season over, no?

Agreed, in the BE most home teams play very well and against UConn, like Champions. We lost 3 points right there. Back in October posters were thinking that we would struggle and lose some on the road, and now its as if its a surprise.

Also in October our frontcourt woes were 'threaded' over and over again. We all knew that TO and EW would be inept against BE frontcourts, and now people are posting/complaining as if surprised.

As for the refs all UConn fans have seen this before (over and over again), nothing new. I have never seen complaining change the score.

This team is a 2 year team, and certainly not a 1 year team. Its because of Ollie we are playing the way we are, which is competitive. I think expectations have gone way up recently. Could have been because of the Michigan State game, but that was a 'long time' ago.

You are so right: "Next!"

It was a tough loss. No one seems to be freaking out or going nuts though, besides South Tampa Bill. And that's only because no one's responding to his Casual Encounters posts.

I want UConn to win as many games as possible in the BE this season.

As many as possible.

Moreso than any other season I can remember. Moreso than in 1999 or 2004.

I hear you, but I think many feel like this woulda/coulda/shoulda been a nice quality road win in the BE. So, the disappointment is understandable. A number of reasons for the loss: officiating (tick tack calls early in the game; obvious error at the start of OT...), missed dunk & T for hanging on rim (did they get FT attempts and the ball after the T?), poor outings by Tyler & RJ (he missed a couple of chippies that he normally makes), seemingly every 50:50 ball to Marquette, they make one difficult contested '3' at the buzzer... disappointing.
Despite the negative outcome...the promise of future development is clearly evident.
On the bright side, recruiting seems to have picked up a positive vibe, esp for the class of 2014.

Ten toes in!

I agree with you partially. But when you look at things this year, wins against teams that aren't as good as us MUST BE WON. We gave the game away, this isn't any normal year where we can just brush it off. We need to get angry and start going on a tear.

It wasnt a T...it was basket interference. Just a turnover

Ahhh OK thanks,
I thought I remembered the announcer saying something about a T for hanging on the rim.
So, that play is minimized more in my mind...just a missed shot
Thanks.

From a non scientific analysis of threads and posts, it seems to me that if people who complained were not allowed to post the Boneyard would be a ghost town and hardly any threads would be created. I would have to say the definition of a fan(atic) is a person who loves to moan and demonstrate he/she is a know it all.

I've been seriously following the team since 1989. Like the team the Boneyard is filled with winners and losers. I've embraced the whole package. It makes for entertainment.

Totally agree. I absolutely love the grit this team has; and, while handicapped by less than significant game to game contributions from the "bigs", they always push quality opponents to the wall. They are going to make life very tough for every BE team they lace them up for. And I wouldn't be at all surprised that a tough road loss last night would translate into road wins at ND or at Pitt. The lack of consistent contributions from the frontline is a serious handicap and makes this team very unlike any of the better UConn teams that played for JC; AND they still manage to go toe to toe and never back down.

GO HUSKIES!!! BEAT DEPAUL!!!

I'm relaxed and am enjoying the ride. And yes this was one that could have gone to the good guys so it gut punched me for about five minutes.

But after the emotional letdown, I put on the rational mindset. This is a young team, new coach with people asked to play positions that are not within their athletic prowess, a team with some missing pieces, and with a shortened bench. I think it is fine to feel upset and proud at the same time. Upset because we know the things that happened the last year and a half and because CR puts some additional purpose to winning. Proud because we know some players who had options stuck with the program, the players have all ten toes in and are demonstrating a generalized show of improvement over the course of the season, and KO is more than a capable coach. There's a lot to be optimistic and that's my preference.

I thought the board was pretty cool, most guys were positive. As for moaning about the refs, that's not such a bad thing, especially last night
