Peacock Question

I'll have to double check when I'm home from work but I believe it's the Tizen OS
Yeah if you use that for streaming, yuck. Aside from the TCL/Hisense Roku TVs, the streaming OS on smart TVs sucks. Samsung's is among the worst. LG and Sony have Google, which is still bad, but better.

@Waquoit I'm a bit shocked that my attempt to type "Test" was autocorrected to "Teat", I would more likely expect the opposite to happen. Copenhagen Test is pretty decent so far.

It's brutal, the design sucks. I have a fire stick lying around somewhere, I should find that and see if the Peacock app works better that way

Same here. I have the Peacock app on a Roku TV that pauses, ff and rewinds no problem but is very quick doing so.
Unclear whether TV brand or OS matters, but with the Peacock app using Roku it’s possible to pause, FF and rewind. Quirky as you and Chuck mention, but possible. Tested and worked rewinding during a Xavier game ad last night.

It should. The TV OS developers don't have the resources to put towards the apps. A Firestick 4k is like $40. Less on Prime days or whatever. Roku 4k on sale at Amazon for $25.

Peacock is also on NBCSN which my cable co gets so I can tape it there too. I have Hulu which I mostly use because I can tape and skip through the commercials which you cannot do on Peacock

I told my wife we have to go old school and get a VCR so we can pause, rewind and ff certain entertainment choices

Is there usually an Olympics thread anywhere? I still like to follow some sports and there is always some sort of scandal. Crotchgate!!!

Mine too. Xfinity is expensive but it’s the best service out there. We have wireless WiFi for satellite ( no boxes you just download an
App on your device, every pay station ( HBO, Disney, MAX Netflix and whatever else they offer. ) We have 6 kids, our neighbors kids, 14 cats who watch tv too , security system, high speed internet and 400 hours of HD recording storage capacity. ( and land line, we’re soo old fashioned). Our bill is close to our mortgage on our first home. The main thing is I have every UConn men’s and women’s basketball games recorded going back 5 years or so, so I’m pretty happy about that.
