If you're looking for conspiracy backup--before she came to Big 12 she served for years at Tennessee. BUT, if you're looking for the more probable reason for headscratchers, just listen to her try to explain the February list of 20 "potential sites".
The woman is incompetent and never needs to have a microphone put in front of her, much less put there because of some role of authority she has.

(At the same time, though we do NOT have a Final Four team capacity on paper this year, and maybe an even much lesser round exit, and certainly not the kind of team to get past both Notre Dame AND SC to get to you guys, we are thrilled that for some strangely, unknown reason, the Committee's release diverted from Creme's season long Bracketology and put both us AND Oklahoma in the OKC Regional.)
And as for all the talk about who is and isn't in your region, it's quite obvious to me that this year the men's and women's brackets parallel in having an obvious UCONN vs.the Field and Kentucky vs. the Field, so early seeding really don't matter. There are only a handful of teams in the Field that can make for a decent final come early April in both the men's and women's brackets.
