Parking for Gampel

Haven't been back on campus for a game for a few years now before tonight so I assume every trick I had is gone. What's the best spot to park where I won't sit in an hour of traffic post game? It'll probably be another few years before I'm back so I won't be abusing your secret plans, don't worry

South garage is reserved for Season ticket holders, so don't try that.

I like the Z lot. You can walk through the South garage and take the elevator down. The book store is right there and you can hangout there until the arena opens. Leaving isn't "terrible." you will hit traffic, but the cops do control it some. The traffic lights leaving campus will be the bulk of the traffic.

I park near the police station and power walk up the hill.

Logistical nightmare for sold out games. If you can sneak into the South Garage it’d benefit you.

This might be useless info since I haven't done it in 25 years, and some of the lots/buildings/paths/streets no longer exist, but can you still park in one of the outer lots after 5 and just hoof it in? They used to only require a permit between like 6-6 if I remember right from back in the day.

I've never done this, but I suppose you could go somewhere like Hops44 and Uber in/out.

If you're willing to walk 10-15 minutes, there are many free, easy-out options. I park near the bus depot and have no issues with traffic. The walk is less than 10 minutes for me, but I usually walk fast/partially jog.
