Paradise Jam (Virgin Islands) matchups set

I see that all the UConn games are at 8:30 PM. Is this to maximize an anticipated TV audience?
If so, who is broadcasting the games?
 
I have a feeling that Ole Miss, St. John's and Purdue may all be better than they were last year.
UCLA won't be.

I'm not suggesting that any of the three are a cause for concern.

Ole Miss was 1-15 in the SEC. They can't be much worse. So yea, they will probably improve. :rolleyes:

Here...Here!!!! With late starts, I fall asleep in my recliner during half time. I suppose I could have someone give me a wake up call when the 2nd half starts?
 
USF & UCLA attending is only marginally different from U Hawaii attending.

Schools NOT already living in paradise would seem better able to appreciate USVI ....

USF & UCLA should be playing in the Great Alaska Shootout.

On those days that I do, I can stay up to at least 11:00pm. :cool:
 
I assume that the facility is repaired or on track to being fixed. Is lodging available?

Purdue is going to be really good. They had a plethora of excellent underclassmen last year. I think they could end up top-20 this year.
 
Actually I like the bracket. The Huskies haven't played any of those teams in awhile so fresh opponents makes it all the more interesting.
 
Has anyone ever been to the Paradise Jam? This is the trip I'm taking my 40th birthday and I need some help.
 
The site Flo Hoops is intimating that they will be broadcasting the games. That wouldn't bode well for an ESPN3 telecast.

Games will probably be over by then anyway. No need to wake up and watch the "scrubs". :cool:
 
Have to wait and see if SNY comes thru for us on televising these games...
 
I think Purdue only graduated one senior this year, and St. John's returns five of the
top six scorers from last year's team. As Meyers says, Ole Miss could scarcely be worse
than last year. So our kids may have to work a little bit in two of the three games.

Ole Miss fired its coach and then had several players transfer out, including some of their starters. I actually think they will be worse next year. There's such a thing as going from bad to worse.

I think Ole Miss was the team with 8 transfers in the transfer thread. Yikes! I expect them to get bulldozed.
 
If they do broadcast the games, I;'m betting we will have to pay to see them, if we can get them at all,
