I see the same thing working in soccer from fans upset when the TV mentions the scores from other EPL or Champions League games. Always makes me laugh.

98% of fans are not like this. They do not pretend the rest of the universe doesn’t exist. They are not going to cater to 2%. This is reality and you have to make choices, not pretend nothing else is going on.
