She's a professional athlete. I doubt that her self-esteem is affected all that much by whether or not she's asked questions in a press conference.I think the reporters need to be more cognizant and respectful of everyone who came to sit for the interview. Almost all the questions were directed at Paige and the coach, with the majority going to Paige. Maddy's body language was sort of like, "What am I, chopped liver?" I felt bad watching her discomfort.
To me she seemed to be saying to herself: "I think I might as well take a little nap." Paige can't do anything about it. She is the star, all the more so in CT and the CT press doesn't give a hoot for Maddy. Their editors would raise Holy Hell if it wasn't all about Paige. It will be interesting as they move from venue to venue. While we are here: I thought the slumped, T shirt wearing coach was pretty unprofessional.I think the reporters need to be more cognizant and respectful of everyone who came to sit for the interview.
