First, Nika could be on there ahead of several of those people. Insulting.

Second why bother. Just hand Paige the award.

Interesting. If Geno decides that he wants Nika to play the point with Paige and whoever else to function as shooting guards/wings, Paige might not qualify for the award in the strictest sense.

Ah well. All will be revealed soon enough.

Because Nika doesn't play enough to get recognition? Also there's a player named Caitlin Clark who you might have heard off might have something to say about the award.

1, Put Paige with the other 19 in the same group, well, seems not right ...:p
2. They seem thinking Christyn Williams is a power forward not a guard.

I believe this list is for PG. She should definitely be on the watch list for 2G, of maybe small forward.

The player that led NCAA D1 in APG, is NOT on the list?

I dont doubt that Paige wins, but how can the "1st Watch List" not include last years leader, who is back for her 5th year? By the way there is another player on the list who is also back for her 5th year, so that cant be an excluding criteria.

Whoever voted or compiled this list is ignorant.

By the way, her name is Ane Olaeta of Cal Baptist and she averaged 7.8 apg last season.

Thinking about this a bit more, the only recent example I can think of with a team actually having 2 PGs who both thrived was Oregon w/ Ionescu and Cazorla. Otherwise I think you get PG by committee where no one is really exceptional in the role, or a player w/ PG type skills for the most part accepting a different role w/ their team.

Here's another questionable call for me. For UCLA Osborne has a scorer's mentality, but she is their PG until proven otherwise.

Eh, that's what happens when you don't beat anyone in the top 75. Gotta beat someone to be someone.

Looks like they'll have their chance this year. They play Oregon State in November and TCU a few weeks later (although TCU might suck this year). Plus, I believe they'll be NCAA Tournament-eligible this year.
