Paige in concussion protocol

I just watched a presser with Chris Koclanes from a morning shoot around and he once again indicated that Paige is “day to day.” That tells me that Paige will be a “game time decision” for the LA Sparks game tonight.

If there were a chance of her playing tonight she'd be ruled probable, questionable, or even doubtful.

Every major sports publication has her ruled out for tonight. Do a Google search for Bueckers and you'll see.

I see that ESPN, CBS Sports and others all say that she’ll be out tonight. But no one suggests a source, I.e. the Wings, and the HC just said this morning that she was day to day. You would think that if Paige was officially out tonight the HC would have said so this morning?

The information on Paige being out was first published by ESPN and picked up by everyone else. ESPN’s source is Rotowire, which is an online information source for Sports Betting. That’s not the Dallas Wings. It’s an organization that’s setting odds for sports betters. They may well be accurate, but I wouldn’t bet on it…;)

Yeah, it was reported that she said she still has a headache. She rode the bike during practice, but participated in shooting drills after so there was no contact and running around. She has to be on the court, so the rest of the team doesn't forget how the coach and Paige want to play. All the hype has been for KiKi and Cintron, so its important for her to get back. Can't wait to see the Wings go against the Mystics, Edwards team.

Would it not be more important for her to return healthy? There's enough hype around her regardless if she is on or off the court.

Who cares about the hype that Iriafen and Citron are gaining? Why should this matter? Frankly, they've earned it for their performance so far to date. It's not hype from what I've watched.

What?! Health is more important than hype?! Look at you being subversive

Paige Bueckers is not in need of more hype. Her injury status has already gotten more media attention than anything Iriafen or Citron have done. That's when you know a player is a big deal, when her absence is a national headline.

Paige has a long career ahead of her. She will take whatever time she needs to return fully healthy, nothing less.

Damn foreigner. ;)
OK, You asked for it. A short story made long.

Time, 1950s.
Place, the movie theater in the small town where I grew up.
Movie, I don't remember, it was about three quarters of a century ago.
Scene: Famous French movie star (Jean Paul Belmondo or similar) is driving a neat red convertible through some desert in the U.S. southwest. A Marilyn Monroe style blonde is in the passenger seat, her hair and scarf billowing in the wind. They are going very fast. Stereotypical fat motorcycle cop pulls them over for speeding, asks the driver how fast he was going. Driver answers in English with a heavy French accent.

Cop, hearing the accent: “Oh, so you're a foreigner!”
Leading Man:”Me, a foreigner? Hmpf! No, M'sieur! I am Fremch.
YOU are zee foreigner!”

It would be great if the WNBA put a net over the wacky violent players, a category that's growing. One of them is one her team. Others are on the schedule. It seems like the W is promoting violence. I have wished Paige would head to Europe, but I suspect the US NIL would go down a good deal and the European NIL would not compensate.
