Paige Bueckers expected to miss rest of regular season

She’s still in the Uniform minutes before the game so I will still hold out hope however slight…

Pssst-Geno can I go in? Psst Geno can I go in please? Pssst Geno? Geno? GENO???

Bob Joyce said a moment ago on his radio pregame show that Paige has a Doctor's appointment tomorrow, then we'll see after that. If the Doctor signs off on her, it may be up to her when she plays. This IS NOT my interpretation. I'm quoting Bob Joyce. So don't shoot the messenger. We can assume that if she is still seeing a Doctor, she hasn't been cleared to play.

I hope the doctor restricts her for a bit. We know as soon as she is cleared, she'll play. Hopefully she'll have some hard rules that she can't badger Geno about.

Geno was not definitive in his post game comments one way or the other. But just so we don’t overreact here on the BY, we are only talking about one more week remaining in the regular season.
Being out the rest of the regular season is basically a no call. She won't be needed, possibly even in the BET. The longer the rest the more practice before must win games, one would think, is best.

Geno confirmed it. And it WILL be her decision alone if she's cleared, which Geno said is expected to happen.

As I said in another thread, put her on a pitch count (limited minutes) at first and ease her back in the lineup. We’re going to need her later than sooner.

You’d like to get her some minutes Sunday if at all possible. Perhaps no more than 12. I’m assuming she’ll play in the conference tournament. How many minutes remain to be seen. Geno won’t need her until the 2nd or 3rd game of the NCAA tournament.

Minutes of playing time for Paige is like eating peanuts. Just try to stop after 2 or 3...

You know the first question at practice today is gonna be about Paige's doctor's appointment. If she's cleared to play by her doctors, I wouldn't be surprised to see her get some minutes tomorrow night despite Geno saying she wouldn't play this week.

We know what we want.
We will get we will.
NOBODY wants to see Paige in a game more than Paige.
Geno will make like he really doesn't need her. Maybe he'll make her beg a little bit and then, "reluctantly" let her start the 2nd half on Sunday. We don't want to overshadow Liv, Christyn, Evina and Dorka on their Big Day so we won't see her in the first half.
Or, maybe not.
Might actually be better to let her see how her knee works in a game with no real drama. So she's not putting it to the test in a critical situation.Although Paige seems to play every minute like all the money is on the table.

The mention of swelling is disconcerting. My knee doctor said to me once, "You're a runner, you know how to deal with pain. But swelling is different, don't mess with swelling." He went on to say that swelling can actually lead to or exacerbate injuries.

That said, I trust the doctors and training staff. If they say she's good to go, she's good to go.

Who mentioned swelling For Paige?

It was just two weeks ago they said she had trouble tracking down a loose ball, and now she's jogging without any kind of brace and starting to participate in some drills. The NCAA tournament is 4 weeks away which gives her almost another full month of additional rehab and practice time. 5 weeks if you don't need her until S16/E8 weekend which is 50% more time than she's already missed.
Do we know that she wasn’t wearing a brace? My assumption was that the brace was just wrapped but I went back and took a look and I think you are right.

I’m not an orthopedist, but that would seem to be a huge step forward.

Do we know that she wasn’t wearing a brace? Because that would be a big deal. My assumption was that the brace was just wrapped.
She just had a compression sleeve on the knee at Tuesday's practice. As you saw last night she had the brace on once again over that sleeve or knee pads, so when she wears it is pretty obvious. The first 10 seconds of this video show a pretty good close up of it.

Yep, see my edited post above.

Just hope that she takes all the time she needs to avert hurting that knee again. Don't risk it!
I concur. Playing basketball is at times resembles a track meet. You need two good 'Wheels; also helps as stability for shooting the ball. How about rebounding & other aspects of the game? Paige must feel confident & comfortable in playing the game !

Maybe developed Telekinesis to compensate

I'm not worried. Geno revealed Paige's connections to a higher power last night.
