Pac 12 tourney

Was Aronette Vonleh one of the players Barnes "encouraged" to transfer at the end of last season or did she decide to do so herself? She certainly seems to be playing well at Colorado.
Yeah, I thought she looked good in her limited minutes as a frosh and deserved more time on the floor. Out of all the players who left after last season (I'm honestly having a hard time remembering most of them), she's looking like the biggest loss.

It’s really something seeing the unmitigated joy of this Wash. State group. Fun seeing them on the postgame as a team. They have players from 8 countries outside the USA.

.-.
Looks like Utah had a furious late rally that came up just short. They deep sixed any chance they had at a #1 seed in the Tourney. I figured the Pac 12 tourney would have some surprises.
This should have been expected. Utah just recently got a piece of the Pac 12 title and probably still on cloud 9. The loss will get them back in to focus if they are the real deal.

Not sure. The issue with a lot of them was not buying into the culture, Koi Love was the main culprit based on folks who were more insiders than me. Vonleh may have felt recruited over / not wanting to wait with Nnaji coming in, Ware committing to full time basketball and of course Reese returning. Or she could have been one of the players not playing hard in practice.

You can't predict what would have happened if she stayed since it might have affected folks we got in the portal.

feels like Pueyo is hit or miss many games.
Her and Conner are frustrating. Pueyo was a key player, but not at all consistent. She did a lot of the little things. But not always what we needed, of course.

I sure didn't think of Washington St. as a bubble team, but they are about to make that a moot point.

edit--to be clear I thought they were already safely in

I heard during the broadcast this was the most upsets ever in Pac 12 tourney history. It lived up to my expectation of it being unpredictable.

I'm curious if the Big 12 tourney will be chaotic. Lots of upsets in these conference tournaments across the board.

Congrats to WSU
When does the Big 12 tourney start?

This is the schedule, so Thursday apparently

Are you gonna switch out your UW hat for WSU now?
I'm a New Zealander - count me in for team #GoCougs! Come on Charlisse! (and wow, Bella is fun!)

A 5'10" guard from Waikato, New Zealand... this is the best thing since Kirk Penney and Michaela Cocks! But better!

Time for somebody to start a Big 12 tourney thread. Get that outta here!

I dunno about that.. Man, those PNW schools have some tough colors in terms of clothing and matching.... Purple, Maroon, Orange, and Green (well i would never wear Oregon gear)
I have seen several locals wear orange on October 31st:)

.-.
The women's conference tournaments are as chaotic as the men's tournaments. Great for the game.

Totally agree. Watching teams like Washington State and Utah, for example, playing well and creating a little chaos, is great for the game. I love it.
