Unfortunately, I believe this one is one of those that's a letter of the rule penalty. Kicking the ball after the play is over is, I believe, black and white.

Man, it just seemed like he was kicking the ball attempting to hit it off the wall to retrieve it but it went into the stands. Ultimately it's stupid, but warrant of a penalty?

I mean the rule itself, maybe a delay of game? He wasn't showing anyone up. He was all by himself. Seems a really harsh call.
