It seems as though lately the SEC has been a beneficiary of this with basketball recruiting.
They're doing better than previous decades, which has a lot to do with how strong basketball is in the south these days, as well as with having two great programs (UK, Florida) and at least one more great program with a great recruiter (Auburn).
Throw in Tennessee and Mizzou - two programs that I think are real sleeping giants - and it makes sense that they'll start to come at the ACC and B1G for basketball supremacy.
If only those two conferences had an easy way to lock up the top spot for good...
