Figured I would start a topic on Overseas play where we can post Euroleague and Domestic League game info and other stuff.

Will post Euroleague/EuroCup game video links, too.
Plus other players, etc,

Will start off with a former UConn player, still rehabbing, but over seas with hubby in Greece.
KLS😍
there are 4-5 pics if you scroll thru

Nika scored 21 points and 7 assists in the game as Croatia held off Greece, 76-73. in a Eurobasket 2027 qualifier, yes 2027. (dont ask me why they do this so far in advance)

Now the possible bad news. It looks like Nika injured her ankle/foot. It happened with 1.00 left in the game. Nika had to be carried off the court. She had an ice bag on the ankle/foot and when the teams shook hands she was carried on the back of another teammate to do. It looked like she turned the ankle, on the replay. If you forward to 1.14 left in 4th quarter it was start of inbounds play.

Update
Croatia plays Denmark this Saturday in Croatia, at 12 noon, and then plays against North Macedonia on Tuesday

.-.
I was out of the country for most of December and didnt see she signed to play in Spain. It seems she only played 3 games and is now no longer with the team, Best Wishes to Kaleena

The article had an English translation. Indicates she was on a temporary contract. Sounds similar to the WNBA 7-day contracts.

Anyone know what happened to Nika Muhl? She was great in her first game for the Croatian National Team. IIRC she twisted an ankle or something in the second one, and she hasn't played since. That was, I think, two months ago.

Get better soon Lou, it says she will be out 6-10 weeks, knee injury

Medical tests confirm a chondral injury in the right knee of the Frenchwoman, with an estimated recovery time of between 6 and 10 weeks

She tore a ligament in her ankle

Was the right knee the one she had problems with at UConn? I still remember her nearly collapsing during the Sweet 16 game. Gutsy kid. I'd love to see her play for the French national team in the next Olympics.

From a couple of weeks ago. Bridget Carleton was tied with a few others (including UConn great Taurasi) for 1st with 8 threes in a game but now is alone in 1st after knocking down 9 in game.

O Canada! And Cyclone Power from my schools only WNBA player.

She's Back

@breannastewart
With the historic achievements she's won, the records she's set, and the world-class stars who've been part of our roster from past to present, our team—the locomotive of Turkish basketball—has once again signed a major agreement, bringing immense brand value to Turkish sports. Our Fenerbahçe Opet Women's Basketball Team has reached an agreement with World Star forward Breanna Stewart, who wore our jerseyed kit in the 2022-23 season and was one of the key pieces of the roster that secured our first EuroLeague Women championship. Our player Breanna Stewart, who will join the team in April ahead of the EuroLeague Women Final Six event to be held in Zaragoza, will compete in our kit on the road to a third European Championship. We say "Welcome back to the family!" to Breanna Stewart and wish her many successes under our yellow and navy blue jersey.

Stewie signing in turkey feels like it is bad news for the wnba.

Maybe. Or it could be the time between Unrivaled finishing and the W beginning. Although, yours is probably more accurate
