This is an appreciation thread for Aaliyah! As long as she keeps playing strong, we will beat anyone- she is my barometer for team success. I'm amazed how many times a game she ends up on the floor, whether taking a charge, or competing for rebound and just getting knocked down, or just when she goes up for a shot- it's incredible. She is big and strong and, unlike when Bueckers went down and we all gasped, when Aaliyah hits the deck, for some reason it never worries me that she could get injured. She just bounces back up. I'm predicting she will hit the floor four times against NC State.

She needs to stay out of foul trouble. Stop making those stupid fouls and she’ll be on the floor

I agree. Fouls happen. It’s just those mind boggling fouls that drive Geno crazy. I’m surprised that she didn’t get called for a foul while grabbing Gulbe’s arm when they were running up the court. Aaliyah had just blocked her shot, UCONN gained possession and more momentum. The referee was quite close to them, but missed it. That was very unnecessary. She’s better than that.

Certainly tough to nag after a great win but I concur. One time down the court she wasn’t even looking where she was running and plowed right into that kid from Indiana. Setting screens has got to be something both she and Liv have to work on so as to not get called for the OF. Love her energy though and can’t say enough about the offensive boards..

Aaliyah is playing her best games of the year. But I
agree with the previous posts : watch where you
are going Aaliyah! But what she gives , she also "takes"..
I love Aaliyah's grit when she is taking those
"charging" offensive fouls. Oh Canada!! Go Huskies!
