She's got immense talent both offensively and defensively but needs more consistency on her three point shooting......I expect she will be a revelation for UConn fans.......

That channel is trash! There are major inaccuracies in all of their videos. Recently a video was posted about Adhel Tac who plays for South Carolina and they showed still shots of the Adhel Tac that plays for UTEP. They also posted a video, last week where they talked about UCLA being in the Pac12.

My friend @MilfordHusky have opined, since her signing, that she's not only a top 5 kid (if she were American or Canadian), but also would likely start, since we felt she was too talented not to. However given that she missed the summer session due to Italian high school requirements, she's behind the others.

For the most part, at this time, we think it's more likely that she will be one of the first off the bench (along with Kayleigh) should KK and Ash be named starters. Doesn't mean things could change once she actually gets to campus.

Bottom line, this kid is the real deal. And the professional competition she's been routinely going up against is better than the regular high school competition most players see before college in the US.

Bring it on Blanca! Can't wait to see you in Storrs!

The guy is new on YouTube, rambles at times jumps from point to point more than I do, here on the BY. After watching a number of his posts, I now ignore him. I know that like many others here who will watch almost anything UCONN WBB, I just didn't like his channel.

As others have said, this is AI from the get-go. I watched a few of these early on and noticed inaccuracies. Who knows who is behind these videos? The voice identifies itself as "your host." No name. That says a lot and makes me skeptical of all of it. The originator of this video, whoever it might be, took the headline most likely to attract fans and told the AI to gush over Blanca.
She may be the best thing since sliced bread, but don't believe it because this video says so.

Personally, I’m of the same mind as @EricLA and @MilfordHusky, namely that Blanca will turn out to be too good to ignore and will eventually force her way into the starting lineup. What we all saw in those videos from her years in Italy is 1) a very talented player who held her own against pro-level competition but was essentially a role player, and 2) in the final amateur tournament a player who totally dominated her peers. As EricLA said, the late start this summer is likely to delay her emergence, but it will probably not derail it.

In my admittedly quite unreliable opinion, I see Blanca precisely as a unicorn, one of those kids who stands head and shoulders above the rest of her freshman class. We’ve seen a few of these in recent years: Sarah, and Juju before her, Paige and Caitlin in their class. I have a feeling we will all be surprised and amazed by Blanca once she’s had a chance to establish herself. It’s not just that she seems to be a tremendous talent in her own right. It’s also that she’ll have the inestimable advantage of joining a team with another unicorn on it… just like Sarah had in joining a team with Paige.

I hope you're right, but first I'd like to see her play a few games for UConn. It is a little early to be talking about unicorns.

No one knew anything about Inês before she arrived in Storrs. Then there was a lot of scrambling among the media to find out. I expect something similar to play out with Blanca. Maybe she won’t be another Phee or Maya, but I think she’ll play well and may even crack the starting lineup before the tournament. Whatever else she is, at a minimum she’s a big kid with long limbs who runs the floor really well. Just start with that.

I'm sure you don't mean this but your post sounds a lot like throwing the baby out with the bath water. Geno doesn't waste scholarships. People come out of Europe far better grounded in game fundamentals and I'm curious how that will translate at UConn. I'm optomistic.
