Then we will need to win those games to solve that issue. LolFeb 1. Would hope that St. John’s and Creighton could move into the top 25 but should we lose to unranked BE teams we fall with no easy way to climb?
In the world of the polls, you climb just by winning when other teams lose. You don't need to beat good teams to climb.Feb 1. Would hope that St. John’s and Creighton could move into the top 25 but should we lose to unranked BE teams we fall with no easy way to climb?
No it won't. Big East is a better conference than the aac was then, even the year with LouisvilleUnfortunately the BE will be very similar to some of those AAC years.
Some of the top Big East teams are decimated by injuries again but it's certainly not the AAC and it's still better than the ACC.Unfortunately the BE will be very similar to some of those AAC years.

Why do they have polls? Should we just blow them up? It’s a marketing thing, helps with recruiting, a point for a fanbase to celebrate around. It’s part of the landscape, for healthy debate, bragging rights. What are sports without some narrative?Someone needs to explain this asinine obsession this board has w polls to me. I really don’t get bit. Its the same thing EVERY YEAR.
If we take care of our own business, who the hell cares what the polls say???
1) If you're clicking around trying to find a game when UConn isn't playing, are you more likely to tune into a game with a ranked team or a game with two unranked teams? Are you more likely to set some time aside to watch two top 10 teams? More eyes on the team is a good thing.Someone needs to explain this asinine obsession this board has w polls to me. It’s more seeding from my perspective. Polls unfortunately impact seeding for the tournament.Someone needs to explain this asinine obsession this board has w polls to me. I really don’t get bit. Its the same thing EVERY YEAR.

As great as we Husky fans feel after a hard fought win over a very good, maybe even great, Gonzaga team, we cannot overlook Big East opponents thinking the season will be a cake walk. More importantly the players cannot either and I don't think they will.DePaul (69) and Georgetown (91) are both 8-2 and moving up the Net. This year could see a lot of Big East teams just outside the top 25 which is still pretty good on the resume. Maybe Seton Hall will be the worst but the conference as a whole should be better than last year. These days programs can turn around quickly, unless it's something like U of South Canada.
Xavier (77), Butler (76), DePaul (69), PC (74) over the next 3 weeks. One game at a time and treat each game like a Gonzaga. That would be a good start. For reference, losses and Net:
Memphis (33)
Colorado (75)
Dayton (23)
I can understand the concern, but I don’t think the BE is anywhere as bad as the AAC was. The BE may not be as strong at the top as in recent years, but it’s much stronger at the bottom with nobody currently lower than the 90s in the NET. In the AAC, it was normal to play sub 100 teams in front of 3,000 people. I just had PTSD from typing “AAC”.After the last three games I am good taking it one game at a time. Unfortunately the BE will be very similar to some of those AAC years. One game at a time……that’s all we can control.

They absolutely do not. Every year there are teams whose seed bears no resemblance to their ranking in the polls. That's just silly. It’s more seeding from my perspective. Polls unfortunately impact seeding for the tournament.
