As I was looking at some of the team photos at Bridgeport and in Minneapolis, the thought hit me that we clearly have the best pair of Guards in the country, with PB and ! Then I realized that CW should be included with those two making them the best trio of Guards on any team in the USA. Looking at the pictures again, made me realize that we also had the best pair of 4th/5th off-the-bench Guards, including the Beast DPOY (NM) and a likely 1st round WNBA draft choice (EW). There is no team that could even be in the same zip code of talent/ability for its 4th and 5th Guard options. Need a 6th option? How about the Caroline we watched earlier in the year?
Talk about an excess of riches! If Guards win games then we will win the games. The only weakness I can see on this squad now is depth at the 4/5 spot with DJ out---that is a tremendous loss, especially against a tall team like Stanford.
