and surging

They deserve money, they're going to get it too with the next contract. Too bad we're not contributing to that cause yet.

But if we can return to elite status in hoops under Hurley, that will be huge and make the AAC even more attractive

The conference is going to get paid next time around, probably not the big 5 money but a whole lot more than any other conference including the Big East

The fact that somebody is going to want the rights to televise their football games

Unfortunately the number of bidders keeps going down. It is getting to a situation where there is only one buyer.

no one has any money. We are going to be praying for sympathy from ESPN. Tell me the last time that went well.

Even if they are good (and I don't know), nobody really wants to watch most of these schools. Not so for the P5.

I’m not sure, UCF is the best team in Florida right now. Houston in the conversation for best team in Texas. Those two states alone are huge for the conference.

Factor in USF, navy, Memphis, and Cincy, and we have a conference with lots of support behind it.

Houston could be the best team in Texas for 15 years in a row and there will still be more longhorn fans.

I agree, a vastly underrated conference.

UT-Austin is a damn institution down there.

UCF is going to get screwed in polls/playoffs if that UNC game isn't rescheduled.

Note to those paying attention the arch villain ESPN has been promoting a p7
B.B. clique. That includes the AAC .The fact this is happening ahead of negations is interesting .
That’s is very large positive in the negotiations in addition to football success.
If we could get 10mm per team we’ve made a clean break from the pack..
That’s a huge first step.

Didn’t unc just lose by 20 to east Carolina?

And that's not an outrageous number.

As for those all the money is drying up comments, what on earth are they talking about? Has even one organization or conference received less money? Who's even thinking we only have ESPN? And the economy sucks too? I just don't know how to respectfully respond to some of the comments.

We're just going to have to let time do it's thing

Agreed 100%. And just look at how the valuation of the every pro team in every sport has increased dramatically in the past decade. College football is no exception even tho it’s not professional.

Also, even if the AAC is pinched by less competitors, we’re still gonna see a substantial increase in the deal.

Also hypothetically, if UCF goes undefeated, are they kept out of the CFP again? I think they will likely get dinged for the UNC game (even though they suck, but power 5 obviously means something to the committee). But the AAC seems to be just as strong if not better than last year (top to bottom). If they go undefeated, they will have quality wins over USF (away), navy, Memphis (away) and hopefully Houston in the champ game. Then OOC wins over Pitt and FAU (tho both are home). Will also have so so wins vs cincy and temple.

Their schedule seems to be slightly tougher than last year. I think the CFP committee would hold them out again though, especially considering they had 2 loss teams ahead of UCF... would certainly cause a huge commotion tho and positive attention towards the AAC in what is going to be a next big couple years

No AAC team will ever make a 4 team CFP
