That comment alone could break one. Welcome to the Jungle is so tired it's painful.
Partially Disagree the song is great and it was great when I was in eighth grade and its still great and serves its purpose to pump up the crowd It wouldn't hurt To change it up with other rock songs though ! I can see thunderstruck by ac/dc or maybe were not going to take. It. Definitely could use more creativity in the mix

It's only great because you were in eighth grade. For the rest of us, it's ironic nostalgia in a context where ironic nostalgia doesn't belong.

Though, it is better than Crazy Train.

Actually it is nostalgia but that has nothing to do with the fact that it is a good crowd pumping song. I can't help it if all the good music was from my day. :p.

Wife played the clarinet and is also highly protective of the band as are all her clarinet friends.

I guarantee a topless show would fill the seats despite the obvious other problems.

The point is to develop the culture in all aspects. Let's take the Ohio State video game performance (google it if you haven't seen it) as an extreme example. If the fan base knows they will see some cool sh$# from the band, more will make a point of being in there seats. Opening the tailgates an hour earlier would also help this.

My overall point is there is work to be done on all aspects. To misuse a quote from Shawshank Redemption, it is time "to get busy living or get busy dying" for the AD and the FB program especially.

For the band, it means redoing the show, monitoring what other bands are doing and draw people in.

I gotta agree with SB. For as talented and skilled as the band is ... they just don't seem to connect with the game day experience as much as they could. Even when O'Fortuna was blaring over the PA, the band was playing something else as the team ran onto the field. It seems like nobody is coordinating the stadium game day fan experience.

And I still really hate the fact that the band went to Michigan and decided it was appropriate to play "The State of Massachusetts". I think I hate that one single choice more than HFD hates the color of P's tie!!!

I actually like welcome to the jungle on 3rd down for the sheer fact that even most casual fans react to that opening guitar on the song and get loud.

Now, could they adapt? I really wish i could say yes confidently, but who knows haha.

"Welcome to the Jungle" on 3rd down is one of our few -- dare I say "traditions."

Though, like Pavlov's dogs, many don't get up to cheer until that sounds... and if it doesn't play they have no clue what is going on.

Changing the song may require an adjustment period, it is so ingrained in the crowd...
