gave it their best for most of last night's sh!tshow. God, those guys were exhausted yet kept doing everything they could to get the ball back to an offense that didn't appear the least bit thankful for that.
Boyle looked inept...and I realize he had the V/D handcuffs on and an O line that was Temple's little b!tch last night, but come on... Time of possession 36 minutes to 23 minutes? (And it felt a lot more lopsided than that...) How can even the best-conditioned defense continue to play hard knowing they'll get seven deep breaths before the next three-and-out?
It really felt like we have a one-pony show here. I love the way the BS plays, but if that's all we've got, we're doomed. I was really hoping for some creativity that would allow Boyle or Anderson to get the ball to AK in space or get Thomas more chances, but it was back to run-up-the-middle UCONN football. I had enough stuffing on Thursday. Ugh.
