Extremely thankful that we have a young man of Rodney's stature on our team. A true Husky.

I busted his chops as much as anyone for his unique way of finding the sidelines with the ball in his hands.

He came in to his own towards the end of the season and everything we have access to points to him being a great teammate, locker room guy and he's been all over social media.

Like many others, I think he'll have a big year next season.

It took him a while to find it last year but he did, and I think as long as he's physically well it will be a big year. Every guard he's going to be paired with is an outside threat which bodes well for his driving and shooting game.

This just popped up on my instagram feed because I follow Rodney. The poster is a mom who just took her son to visit UConn. Purvis, ever the ambassador, stopped to take a pic with the prospective student and then followed up by liking the photo and commenting. He truly fits the Ollie mold. Love having a team of good character guys.

I'm really hoping that confidence from the end of last season is there from day 1 this year. Something clicked for him and he was unstoppable when he put the ball on the floor after that.

Rodney is a great guy, bleeds Husky blue. He's going to be stronger and more athletic than any guard he's matched up against this year, a confident Rodney will be able to get into the lane at will.
