Other Week 2 Games Discussion

So many questionable calls going against SMU. Difference in talent is clear, but game feels fishy at times.

Full disclosure: my fake pennies are on TCU -23.5 and I was screaming at my TV when SMU went up 7-0.

21-12 TCU. They've scored their 3 TDs on a punt return, offensive fumble recovery in end zone, and defensive fumble return.

.-.
Why wouldn’t TCU have a backup QB transfer from Penn from New Caanan.

And solid P6 action in the second half.

TCU with twice as many points as SMU has yards.

Ben Hicks is absolutely atrocious. But then again so is SMU's line. And Sonny Dykes too.

From what I heard, the Collins kid had a few P5 programs sniff around but he was adamant he wanted to go to Penn so teams stopped recruiting him. He was the best HS QB I ever saw live.

.-.
Rhett’s O looks bad. Suddenly they have no receivers, a QB that can not deliver beyond 10 yards and no offensive line. Did the prior regime clear the place out when leaving?

I don’t really get it. Ben Hicks used to be pretty good

Losing Courtland hurt but...

Defensive starters lost: 3

Key losses: OL Evan Brown, OL Will Hopkins, WR Courtland Sutton, TE Raymond Epps, DT Mason Gentry, DE Justin Lawler, LB Anthony Rhone,

Top returnees: QB Ben Hicks, RB Xavier Jones, OL Chad Pursley, OL Hayden Howerton, OL Bryce Wilds, WR James Proche, DE Delontae Scott, NT Pono Davis, LB Jordon Williams, LB Kyran Mitchell, CB Mikial Onu, CB Rodney Clemons, CB Christian Davis

Does TCU consider themselves a former member of the Big East?

SWC/WAC/CUSA/Big East/Big 12

It’s like Denzel Washington in that movie where he is walking through fire.

Why wouldn’t TCU go from a conference with Hawaii to one with East Carolina. Damn the geography.

You forgot the Mountain West

Two pretty good AAC games kicking at noon today (both vs P5 schools):

Arizona at Houston

Georgia Tech at USF

.-.
21-0 UH

14-10 USF - two straight KO returns for TDs for USF's Terrence Horne.

Houston stomping Arizona right now.

21-0.

Good showing for AAC against P5.

Put me firmly in category of wanting strong AAC. Makes it look more valid if UConn get dtheir stuff together and does well in the conference.

Houston is a dominating team again. They look really good on offense and very solid on D with plenty of speed.

Harvin is a beast at P for GT. Just put that one to the 30 yard line from his end zone.
