Not alot of marquee games today/tonight

@Plebe

Due to the state getting substantial snowfall.... especially so in the Triangle. The NC State @ UNC.Cheat game was moved up to 4pm. Its on the ACC Network Extra App on ESPN if anyone cares.

Duke @ VPI will be interesting just for the pregame and postgame handshake between coaches. If the game were on a Sunday instead of a Thursday... I would have seriously considered making that 3 hour drive up to Blacksburg just to watch the coaches handshake/greeting... :cool:

Is there beef between JPM and Brooks?

Haven't heard VT referred to as VPI in quite some time.

FSU down nine at the half @Wake ... Syracuse down 16 deep in the 2nd quarter @ Miami. Duke down vs VPI, Louisville up only 6 deep in the first half @ Pitt. The road is rarely easy in conference games.

Rutgers down at the half @ Penn State 38-30

UWGB up at the half 38-6 @ Detroit Mercy....... :eek::eek::eek:

.-.
FSU better get it together.

They did... I walked into the kitchen to make a sandwich...... got back... and the scored is tie 59-59. Outscoring Wake 17-3 in the 4th quarter so far

Louisville now winning comfortably, but neither Durr or Hines-Allen are having games remotely like they did against Notre Dame.

Everything that has happened thus far in the season just reinforces to me just how amazing Kelsey Plum was last year. There are some really great players scattered around the country, but none of them are playing w/ anything remotely approaching the consistency she had. I said it then, I'll say it again. I've never seen a player play that well game in and game out for an entire season.

Florida St. and Rutgers are both in trouble late in the game.

.-.
Cant see Wake pulling this one out... they had this game won :oops:

I'm not watching the game, but the play-by-play says that Rutgers was called for both a common foul and a technical foul with 1 second left to play. Penn State sank 4 of 5 free throws to take a 3-point lead for the win.

.-.
three slices of Boars Head Tavern Ham.... 2 slices of white american cheese..... miracle whip... cheap white bread :oops:
You ruined it with the bread. I forgive you though.

Wake certainly had plenty of chances..... they are gonna kick themselves for losing this game Head bang

and I had a FSU upset pic queued up too Head bang

You ruined it with the bread. I forgive you though.

Well... what happened was.... there was snow in the forecast..... and i didnt want to go to the grocery store during the day because i knew it would be a madhouse..... by the time i finally went to the store... it was 3am... and all the good bread was gone... so I had to take what I could :oops:

I had completely forgotten about that. An acrimonious exchange between the two coaches during the game with regard to a flagrant foul.

I missed the end of the game while watching the Wake-FSU game... just replayed the end... and there was an handshake this time :p

South Carolina's Leslie Grissett showing that freshmen can indeed make impacts. She started for Wilson tonight at Vanderbilt, went 11-12 from the floor for 22 points and 9 rebounds.

One time UConn recruit Haley Gorecki 7-10 from three for Duke, 28 points, 6 rebounds. She's been really good as of late.

Not surprised by her play as she was highly rated coming out of high school. She's a true athlete who reminds me a lot of Gabby Williams and will only get better with more reps!

@Gus Mahler

Gorecki had her career high with 28pts.... 7-10 from three..... added 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal... and 1 turnover. The Girl can play :)

Was happy to see her and Jennings both go off with big performances.

Yet another injury though -- this time to Ty Harris.

With the victory over VPI last night... Duke extended its 72 game winning streak vs teams from the state of Virginia. The VPI announcers mentioned that last night......
