A lot of great men's games are on today (Duke-Virginia headlining), but I'm peeking in on some other WBB games as well. Gotta throw some love to the key mid-major matchups.

1pm ET
  • TCU @ #1 Baylor (Fox Sports SW). Baylor leads 38-31 at the half. TCU really is a much better team than their results indicate.
  • Ohio @ Central Michigan (ESPN3). Ohio got out to a great start and leads 45-34 at the half. These are 2 of the 4 teams in a logjam atop the MAC with 2 losses each (the others are Buffalo and Miami of Ohio).
2pm ET
  • Wright St @ Green Bay (ESPN3). Wright State is 11-1 in the Horizon and could virtually clinch with a win; GB is 9-2.
  • Radford @ High Point (ESPN+). This one's for @triaddukefan . Radford leads the Big South at 9-1; HPU is 8-2.
3pm ET
  • Arizona @ Washington St (Pac-12 Network). Another must-win for Arizona to stay in NCAA bubble contention.
  • UCF @ SMU (ESPN3). A rematch of a game in Orlando that UCF narrowly won. This is another must-win for UCF.
  • Lamar @ Stephen F. Austin (ESPN3). Who's the best player nobody knows about? Chastadie Barrs of Lamar, who's on pace to break the NCAA record for steals. Both of these teams are undefeated in the Southland Conference.
7pm ET
  • West Virginia @ #22 Iowa St (cyclones.tv). Both are 7-3 in the Big 12. The winner will stay in a virtual tie with Texas for 2nd.
8pm ET
  • #14 Texas @ Kansas (ESPN3). Texas lost at Kansas State earlier in the season. Will they do better tonight?

My Panthers looking good so far. 39-28 late in the 2nd. They T'ed up a Radford player for simply screaming after she made a layup  I guess it was cause she yelled in the direction of the player who was guarding her. Dont see that happen much in WCBB

Going down to the wire now. Tied 63-63, Radford has the ball and can set up the final shot.

Arizona @ Washington St (Pac-12 Network). Another must-win for Arizona to stay in NCAA bubble contention.

Early Q3, looks like both teams are shooting well (over 50%, not a given for either team). 3 in double figures already for the Cats led by Reese w/ 16. Molina the Eldest and Hristova have 19 and 14 for the Cougs. WSU leading 49-46.

Quinnipiac (11-0) in conference.
Quinnipiac wins handily, 68-51. Their conference is extremely weak. Probably the second-best team is Marist, and Quinnipiac has already won at Marist.

My panthers suffer their first loss of the season at home. If they want to advance to their first ever NCAA tourney... they will have to do it in the state of Virginia... either in Radford or Hampton Head bang

Can the MAC get two bids to the NCAA? I see that Ohio downed CMU

This must be a fun game to be watching (damn you cable company!). 85-83 WSU w/ 19 seconds left. UA hit one of 2 FTs and must've got an O board and putback.

Cougs survive 90-88. Pretty good game for a couple also rans. Hristova finishes w/ 37 points (14-19 shooting). 28 and 9 assists for Molina. 24 for McDonald. She scored 24 in both games this week and only had 6 FG in both games, she absolutely made a living at the FT line. Damaging loss for Arizona. I'd say WSU can't possibly finish worse than 10th in the conference now, potentially could catch USC for 9th. No way either UW or Colorado is going to get to 3 wins.

They did last year. Can they get more than 2?
Charlie currently has 3 teams from the MAC in the field (CMU, Buffalo, Ohio), and a 4th (Miami of OH) in his "next four out." The MAC might get as many teams in the field as the Big 12!

I think CMU is an at-large-quality team barring a major collapse down the stretch. The other 3 will be bubble teams unless they win the conference tournament.

Ohio gets a huge win over Central Michigan, 78-75. Cece Hooks led with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Presley Hudson had 28 for CMU but missed some big opportunities to close the gap in the final stretch.

Ohio could definitely be an at-large team. They now have a home win vs. Purdue and road wins over both Buffalo and CMU.

UCF survives yet another close call vs. SMU. It was a 2-point game with 7:30 to play but SMU would go scoreless for the next 5 minutes and the Knights pulled away for a 66-54 win. Kay Kay Wright led with 20 points and 9 assists.

@triaddukefan , I can't keep track of how many teams you claim as your own!

And I have to say, I don't even recognize you anymore now that your avatar isn't wearing a bag over it's head.
