Once the TN-ND gets boring ... ie, around 7:07 pm, here are some other games to follow:

#4 Lou @ #22 Fla St -- How good are the Cards? They've lost to ND and beaten ASU & Ky. But many top 20 teams can do that. How good is FSU?

Clem @ #8 NC St -- Pack escaped against VT. Surprising Clemson is better than the Hokies.

#25 Mizzou @ #15 Ky (SEC 630) -- After bad loss v Ga, Tigers need to regroup fast

#11 MD @ Ohio St (BTN 8) -- Hard to know what to make of either team this year.

#24 TAMU @ Auburn (SEC+ 830) -- Auburn is 15-3, but are they any good? ZERO top 50 wins. Can TAMU challenge for 2nd in the SEC?
 
The ACC games above should be on ESPN3 and may be picked up by a sports channel in your local market.

I think Louisville will run through Florida St. Clemson I think could give North Carolina St. a challenge. I think Kentucky wins. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ohio St. beats Maryland and Auburn needs to win this game at home would be big for them.

Are they? It's not clear to me. VT is #45 in Massey, Clemson is #46.

Ohio State has improved since earlier in the season. Hungarian post Juhasz is one of the best freshman in the country and is a favorite to win Big 10 freshman of the year over Austin and Mikesell.

But moving on...... like Ive said for years on this board..... when the Baptists and Methodists get together on Tobacco Road....... YOU CAN THROW OUT THE RECORD BOOKS ( really wish they could this year:oops:)

Double header on Big Ten Network. In the early game, already under way, Indiana leads Michigan 20-12 late in 1Q. Both of these teams have a shot at an at-large bid. Creme currently has Indiana as a 10 seed and Michigan in the "next 4 out."

Rutgers may be Transfer U, but conference rival Indiana's top two scorers are high-profile transfers Ali Patberg (Notre Dame) and Brenna Wise (Pitt).
 
Penna (best player) is out for Wake. Their second best player (Sharpe) is out for 4-6 weeks..... They might not break 40 pts
 
NC State off to a 10-4 lead on Clemson, 4:15 left 1st quarter. DD Rogers and Erika Cassell with all the scoring for NC State, which is dominating the boards.

I'd like to see that game but I'm transfixed by the slow-moving train wreck in Knoxville.
 
1 quarter done in Raleigh...NC State holding a 15-12 lead. Wolfpack Women turned it over on 3 straight possessions, all steals and all converted for layups to tie the game at 10-10, then Elissa Cunane started making some noise.

Clemson plays full-court press, which is causing some trouble for NC State. However, State's defense has not allowed the Tigers much scoring without turnovers to assist in transition.

Clemson used two consecutive THREEs to help engineer an 8-0 run to take a 20-15 lead on NC State.
 
4:53 left 2nd quarter...NC State leading Clemson, 23-22. After Clemson used an 8-0 run to go up 20-15, NC State answered with a 6-0 run of their own.
Pack with 19 rebounds, 10 on the offensive side of the ball. Clemson has 10 for the entire game.
 
Halftime in Raleigh: NC State leading Clemson, 30-25. Wolfpack Women racked up 27 rebounds in the first half, leading to lots of second- and third-chance opportunities.

Man, Kim Barnes-Arico is starting to disappoint. Finally got to NCAAs last year after 4 WNITs, but now might be headed for another W.

Ultimately it's a zero sum game. A lot of good and great coaches out there; not all can turn their programs into perennial NCAA teams.

e.g., Amanda Butler has surely shown this season that she's at least a "good" coach, turning around a moribund Clemson program that hadn't sniffed success in eons. Yet she was fired from Florida...
 
NC State leads Clemson, 37-31, 6:53 left 3rd quarter. Tigers with 14 turnovers.
