Meanwhile UMass in 2019 has allowed as you noted 576 which is 52.4 points per game. So thats a difference of 28 points or so ...so yeah looks like if BYU scores 30 this weekend we are dethroned from a ignominious record.
Unfortunately it appears our record for average yardage allowed (and total yards) will remain intact. We finished 2018 allowing an average of 619.1 yards per game, while UMass is at just 553.5.
This year our team defense is up two slots to #128 with 40.6 average points & 452.2 for average yards allowed per game. Temple and ECU will be looking to push this up.
