Thread to talk about other CT kids in College Football;

Will Levis; hasn't had the big arm offense Kentucky was expecting - but they are undefeated and that's pretty nice.

Iowa WR- Nico Ragaini- East Haven/Norte Dame-West Haven (3x All State Player)
Wasn’t he waiting for a Edsall offer? Now he is the starter WR for the currently #4 ranked Iowa

Is Ben Mason still playing at Michigan? Also Kyle Vaccerella of Prep, and Matt Gulbin of Wilton, will be playing for Auburn and Wake Forest, respectively. Both just signed.

There are over 60 Connecticut kids playing FBS football, although some are walk ons.

There are at 7+ QBs from Connecticut that are on an FBS roster including Drew Pyne at Notre Dame, Will Levis at Kentucky, Tyler Phommachanh at UConn, Taisun Phommachanh at Clemson, and Tyler Van Dyke at Miami.

Ben was drafted by Ravens and picked up by Patriots, currently on their practice squad.

CT produces about three to four 4* kids a year. I would love for them to consider staying home, at least one or two would be nice.

Maybe if we let the CT high school college coaches pick

Who was the last 4 star UConn signed? Was Cochran a 4*? I know Jay Rose was a 3.

Our system ain't working. "Our 4 stars" don't perform like traditional 4 stars. Need to tweak our system.

That’s pretty lame and is a pretty low benchmark on Edsall’s recruiting skills. I mean if the state produces 3 or 4 four star players every year and UConn the so called flagship school never got even one of those 4 star kids.

Definitely says a lot and it should be made a priority. It’s ridiculous that we can land at least one or two of our own 4* kids each year.

True, but in Edsall’s defense, Ragaini was rated by 247sports as a 3 star prospect, and the #6 WR in Connecticut. He was recruited by Albany, New Hampshire, Army, and a couple Ivies, as well as BC and Iowa. So certainly not one of those, “how the h*ll did Edsall miss this guy?” cases.

This at least the 2nd CT kid Edsall passed on that went on to shine at Iowa. Same thing happened with Amari Spivei, who later went on to the NFL.

No he was the #6 player, not WR, in CT. Edsall had no problem offering lower ranked WRs in the state that year......

It was definitely a "how the hell did he miss this guy" situation. The kids filthy. He was the best CTHSFB player in the state his Senior year and then produced during his prep year too.
