OT: Your Favorite 3 NBA Players of All Time

Ray Allen, Kemba Walker - pretty self explanatory

Steph Curry - I think he might have the greatest hand-depth-eye coordination in human history, and he's very easy to root for.

Not me - I didn't care for T-Mac in 2003 and I still don't now that people on the twitterverse are trying to make him into Kobe. I think Kobe is overrated too, so I guess it's not totally wrong.
T-Mac was probably more Durant than Kobe. Maybe 'Melo. He wasn't the shooter KD is, but he was one of the first at his size to play like a guard. Not everyone loved the iso-heavy style of that era, though.

Kobe was one of my favorite players also. But it’s true, unfortunately after his death he has been thrust into conversations which he really doesn’t deserve.
IDK. Have you ever talked to a Kobe stan? They sure as hell didn't need him to die to make him into a mythical figure.

I think Melo is proper - T-Mac was more explosive but he was also a volume scorer and his teams never did anything.

Whether that’s fair or not, even at the time I was down on him as a player because of those things.

Paul Silas I was a 10 and 10 guy too.

Cowens
The Big E
Gus Johnson all scorers and rebounders.

Kemba - UConn same time as me so naturally makes the list
Castle - Since the day i saw his first tape needed the commit and ever since he's delivered everything. Thrilled to watch his career develop.
Blake Griffin - Everytime you watched him he'd seemingly do something that defied gravity most exciting player of my lifetime

I think calling him a volume scorer is somewhat harsh (I'd reserve that label for someone like AI), but he certainly wasn't LeBron or KD.

The lack of team success bothers me less than the lack of longevity given how limited his teammates were in those Orlando days. He seemed to peak in his early 20s hence why I'm using 2003 as my cut-off for the purposes of this discussion.

I guess when I say that, I mean he didn't do much else in my opinion other than get a lot of buckets - he shot a lot, maybe not to the level of AI but AI was a superstar the second he stepped into the league.

T-Mac was always a really athletic and aesthetically pleasing player that didn't do much to make his team win. He got buckets, and he was good at it. But I just don't think he was that great a player.

#1 is easy. Jason Kidd, who I was lucky enough to see in person at St. Joe's HS in Alameda, CA.... 70 games' worth. He did things that, even 30+ years later, you almost never see done in high school hoops. For the opponents, it was like playing 5 on 6. His passing and court vision were (and still are) the stuff of legend...

#2, Steph Curry. Revolutionized the game with his long-range shooting.

#3 Magic Johnson. Jason Kidd's childhood idol, nuff said.

John Wall - Most electric PG I've watched in-person... in his prime, I'm not sure you could find anyone faster
Kemba Walker - Of course
Rajon Rondo - One of the best passers of all time, highly underrated

Wilt………….because I loved him while hating the Celtics.

Jim McMillian….because I guarded him in college and held him to 2 points.

Geoff Petrie…..because I guarded him in college and held him to (oops) 32.

Allen Iverson is the reason I started following basketball and the NBA, he’s my favorite of all time. A flat 6’ (probably less), skinny, and he was absolutely unstoppable

#2 is Kemba Walker. Mostly for obvious reasons but similar feelings on a small guard that was able to work his way into being an offensive weapon

#3 is tough. I’m a Nuggets fan so Melo and Jokic come to mind. Also a huge fan of stars like Kobe, Derrick Rose, Hakeem, Dirk. For some reason I’ve really liked random players over the years like Monta Ellis, Danny Granger, Josh Smith, Rashard Lewis.

But I think I’ll have to go Steph Curry. His greatness is obvious even if you don’t watch the games, but if you watch Warriors games over the years and focus on only him, it’s pure magic
