The WNBA is proposing a 22-game regular season, starting July 24, with the league playing at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, multiple sources have confirmed to ESPN.

Details of the playoffs, which would end in October, have not been specified, according to sources. The players have not agreed to the proposal, which has been described as tentative, as some teams are still being informed of the known details, sources said.

Reached for comment, the league said it could not confirm the proposal.

The WNBA was set to have a 36-game regular season this year, beginning on May 15, but the league was postponed by the coronavirus pandemic. Specifics about housing and testing have not been confirmed.

The plan sounds ok except I was hoping for Vegas, Orlando or a combination of both.

Only way, Liberty lose less than 20 games. :(

That sounds reasonable. One film maker, maybe Chris Rock or Tyler Perry, has begun making films again. He's requiring the cast and crew to come to his compound, get tested, and stay there for the duration. That's possible for a modest production, but untenable for recent Hollywood movies, where they might have 400-600 people around for filming. I've read that there will be a lot more indie films being made with 40-60 people on set, which is fine with me.
