OT: WILL THIS FORCE BYU TO JOIN A CONFERENCE

I think it is inevitable in this new system that BYU will have to join a conference. What's worse is (or better, for us), I think the conference that makes the most sense in the short term is the Big East. I think they really blew their chance to join the Big12, due to what sounded like playing hardball with their BYUtv thing. Now, it seems the Big12 have bigger fish to fry (Fla St?), and BYU is going to be in trouble as an independent.
The one thing that could really end up biting us is if BYU somehow talked Boise and SDSU to return to the MW and they somehow combined for a similar tv deal to what the NNBE could get in its current form. I think that is less likely, but it has already been speculated on. What "fun" times we are living in...
