For the record I was routing for the Ravens to beat the Pats, I get its Ray Lewis last season and he is an alltime great LB, but why isnt there any talk about first ballot HOF Ed Reed who could be playing his last season and hasnt won a SB, not to mention Ray has won a Super Bowl. Im most happiest for guys like Ed Reed, Boldin and Matt Birk who havent won a Super Bowl.

1) ray has announced his retirement
2) most believe Ed will play next season.

I said he could retire most likely he does play next year but and how many chances do you have at a Super Bowl.

Ironic. Last year the Niners and the Ravens looked like the better teams in the championship games. It is not often you get a second chance. That being said Harbaugh vs Harbaugh is like Calipari vs Calipari. I'm rooting for the Niner's just because a friend of mine who is nearing the end of his life is a Niner fan.

If the Ravens win the Super Bowl, Ed Reed is definitely going to the Hall of Fame.

Yes, the greatest safety in the history of football needs this win to ensure his trip to Canton.

I don't know who is the greatest. I just know he's going if the Ravens win.

He is going to the HOF if the Ravens lose by 40. First ballot. That's not an opinion. That's a fact.

Scoe's post saying Ronnie Lott is the greatest safety disappeared. I was referring to that and you saying Ed Reed is the greatest safety as opinions. I know Reed is one of the best in the modern era. There have been players who have been shafted by the HoF.

I dont think Reed will be one of those guys that gets shafted though, he is real popular ever since he was at the U and has always been known as a classy guy. I get what your saying though about guys getting shafted by the HOF, it is ridiculous that Lynn Swann is a HOF while a guy like Cris Carter still hasnt gotten in.

Although I was rooting for the Ravens because I despise the arrogance of the Patriots, it was annoying to see the glorifying of Ray Lewis. Has everyone forgotten what happened in Atlanta? I am not saying people don't deserve a chance to change, but why not give props to those people who are great players AND didn't play a role in a murder?

The media loves the story about the guy who lied about a murder yet went on to have a great career. Good for him...he only lied about the one murder and never did it again. Silly me, I like the players who never got in trouble in the first place. I am not saying he doesn't deserve an opportunity to make a living...but putting him on a pedestal just doesn't feel right.

Politicians start wars and couldn't care about the deaths of bystanders. And they get glorified. Unless they lose the war and their own country gets destroyed. That's life.

As a Patriots fan, I hope I live to see the day Belichick retires. I am tired of looking at his cocky face.

RAY LEWIS was implicated on two murders... Fact
He turned on two of his ex-friends to take the fall. .. Fact
Yet ... the the NFL wants him to be a role model ... My opinion

I've been saying the same thing, Ed Reed is one of the best defensive players I've ever seen and he gets very little pub. It's all about Ray Lewis and when the microphone goes around Ed Reed is nowhere to be found.

I'm a diehard Niners fan (hence the user name). Still can't believe we made it.

But yeah, to echo someone else earlier, the Randy Moss storyline has strangely gone under the radar. What a story it would be for him to come out of a one year "retirement" and finally get his ring. He's the second greatest WR of all time, you know.

Football guys talk about Reed. Color guys talk about Lewis.

The better team won.

The Patriots aren't what they used to be.
