He shot quickly but rather mediocre. Under 50%, he shot 52 for 108 48% and 27 for 71 38% and 7 for 10 70% FTs.

A player on the losing side, David Larson, hit for 70 points on 34 for 44(plus 2 FT's)
The losing side had 49 turnovers.

Jack Taylor made the 138 points on 108 shots. The rest of the team took 28 shots.
The other 4 starters with Mr. Taylor shot 3 for 9, obviously they are roll players.

Eh, maybe not a ball hog. You feed the hot hand. If the kid isn't being guarded and is decent shot, feed him.

No, the amazing part is that this kid's nickname is "black mamba". Take a look at him.

"By the end of the night, Taylor was 52-for-108 (27-for-71 from the 3-point line)"

I heard it mentioned on ESPN; the announcer made a point of noting that he had no assists.

Those are solid percentages for a guard in a Div III game. There's a very solid case to be made that his teammates would not have done as well with the extra shots if he hadn't thrown it up so much.

This sums it up:

"Taylor had 58 points at halftime. THEN he got hot."
