Is anybody else curious as to why ESPN needs its own time designation? Do EST, CST, MST, PST not work?
A google search does not turn up more that "COT" as Columbia time. WTH?

Where are you seeing it? I see (ET) browsing the MLB schedule.

Bizarre!!! I thought it was everybody. I see "COT" above every MLB game in the game listing bar at the top of the ESPN website.

So, like what does the time say? Instead of 4:05 PM ET, what shows?

Carry over time -- may last longer than the original scheduled time. Adopted by broadcasters on July 12th, 2014 to appease complaints of recordings running out before the extra inning or overtime game was complete.

I made this up.
Also known as 20 minutes over here.

Are you on your PC? What is your current time zone setting? My guess is you have it set to Bogota, Lima, ....

I just changed mine to that time zone and see that ESPN shows time in COT.
