Wes Bialosuknia dies

Was this already posted, and I missed it? Am I the only one who remembers Wes? He played on the great teams of the mid-sixties, with Tommy Penders and Toby Kimball. Before there was Women's Basketball at UConn, and before there was a three point line. He was a truly great pure shooter.

Sad news. And another reminder that I am really getting old...

Well, he is a man who played Husky hoops. Thus the memorial thread occurred on the men's board seven days ago. Very sad news for UConn family.

Thanks, I just finished reading the thread on the Men's board. I don't go to the Men's board very much....

Another bit of the youthful years gone. I sat by the radio many a night hearing his battles with Dr. J and other immortals. Just glad I never had to spell his name for an article, but Wes was the man.

I can still hear the radio announcer..."Bialousuknia for two!" He was a lights out shooter from behind a screen...unbelievable! May God give him rest...
