Living in TN, nothing makes me feel more at home than listening to the classic nyc radio stations. 1010, the erstwhile 880 and of course 660 on audacy. My shoulders relax a little when Brandon and Sal come on.

@J187Money thx for the explanation. I love the boneyard because of stuff like that

I used to work in radio. Was actually pretty interesting learning how the guts of the business works. Comes in handy from time to time.

Pleasantly, I have started to listen to WICC in Bridgeport, 600 AM, and 95.9 FM.

Melissa In the Morning, during the week (5 to 10) is good, and their local news, traffic reports, and weather is more useful to those living in Fairfield County and even New Haven County. Not just local news either. Brigitte Quinn has jumped over from WCBS and has a spot from noon to 2.

Melissa has interviewed local officials on the Oxford and Route 67 corridor floods and on other local happenings, and she has a good pulse on the job.

Sure, I miss Wayne Cabot and the NY Metro news, but some does get included a bit on WICC. All in all, this station informs and entertains.
