Always like to watch my 'Hoos beating dook. Reminds me of sean singletary's fadeaway for the win a few years back. Most exciting bball game i've ever been too...

Well this post guarantees the Dookies come back and win the game. The basketball gods always make sure of that.

As does the fact that ACC teams roll over like beaten puppies whenever they play Duke.

Virginia and their cohorts exist for no other reason than to play Washington Generals to the Globetrotters in Durham and Chapel Hill.

Special Delivery Jones thinks UVA will make a valiant effort but fall short.

What am I watching? I turned it on at the half and Mason Plumlee has already hit a righty hook, a lefty running hook and taken a defender off the dribble.

Mason Plumlee is really talented, and this year he's finally starting to play to his potential. That's what concerns me about this Duke team. They finally have a decent big man for the first time in a while.

Mike Patrick is the worst in the business hands down. He is like a little fanboy for Duke, every time he covers them he makes it out like he's watching the 95-96 Bulls. He is completely clueless about hoops and he makes Vitale look impartial when it comes to Duke.

He's always been athletic but the post moves are a recent addition to his game. He has looked good the whole year but this is the best I've seen him play. They don't concern me a bit though. They can't keep quick guards out of the paint and have no effective player between 6'3 and 6'11. Who the heck would guard a scoring wing?

Scott is good... But if UVA is the third best team in the ACC... Then the ACC is just as bad as we thought... Embarrassing

Eh, we'll see. He's surprisingly athletic, but he was surprisingly athletic last year too and that didn't stop Arizona from chewing him up and spitting him out.

At least at this point, I don't think Duke's nearly as strong on the perimeter as they have been in the past.

Honestly, watching this game I think I'd rather play Duke than UVA come tourney time. A team that plays excellent D and tries to control tempo on O by taking the shot clock down low? No thanks.

I liked when Vitale was showing somebody's new born child on the screen and he says "He's a diaper dandy" to which Patrick replied "literally!"

i for one see whats going on at uva and i like it. while most of the acc is dying is different sports, uva is on a upswing. both fball and bball are rebuilding competitive programs. the baseball/lax and other sports there are great and the classroom is top notch. school like uva/unc/rutgers are schools i would like uconn to be in a conf with. the problem is the other schools that are already in the acc like wake/bc/pitt. my dream is that the big publics on the east coast wake up and form something, it will never happen but i wish...

UVA has been doing a great job bringing in new coaches for the money sports. London was actually an assistant at UVA before going to richmond for a couple years, and he's done a great job keeping talent in state and turning the program around (we still roll over and die against tech for some reason...). And Bennett has been a great addition after letting Leitao go. He's got some good recruits coming in next year too (justin anderson 5*).

I'm actually excited to watch UVA sports again other than soccer/lax/baseball/tennis again! Really hope that Uconn gets that invite to the ACC so I can watch my two teams go at it every year

My kid is a pretentious Fouth year at UVA now.
He likes to point out to me that UVA is great at every sport
except football and basketball. I always give him the same answer,
"That's nice."
Overall I have to say that UVA has been an absolutely fantastic experience
for him. He has really blossomed there. It is really a great school

Virginia barely beat perhaps the worst team in college basketball (Towson), which is on an NCAA-record losing streak right now of almost 40 games. Towson is 0-17 this year and has really had two chances to win - a four-point loss to Morgan State and a seven-point loss to Virginia.

Although you'd have to say that was a significant outlier for both teams - Virginia has played much better other than that one game, and Towson has played much worse.
