No! The salad spinner is great! Gets all the water out in a flash and keeps me from using a roll of paper towel to dry a headful of lettuce leaves.
Use an old pillow case and step outside and spin around your head - get your exercise and you salad dried at the same time!

Late to the salad scene, But I remember my food service days of always covering the lettuce with a damp towel, after we knocked the core out. Now I love a Caesar Salad. Makes me wish I paid more attention when Mom was in the kitchen....

I have to disagree with this. I have very high arches and one bad ankle that causes my foot to pronate. The only sneaker I can wear with comfort for any length of time with prolonged walking is a New Balance shoe that costs well over $100. If I don't have good support, my knees, hips and back are affected.

I agree that for anyone who does not have foot or leg problems your standard sneaker will be fine. But if you do have such problems, a high quality sneaker is worth every penny.

Kosher salt. (Whats about salt to not be kosher?) Sea salt, too; sodium chloride with impurities not removed.

Foot activated liftgate release. Anything that requires my shin to come into an uncomfortably close proximity with unyielding metal needs to be seriously re-thought.
