That's quite a class. #'s 2, 4, 11, 15,17 and 27 when you include the transfers.
If Stevens (#27) is the 'worst' of the lot, we won't see many losses in the 17-18 and 18-19 seasons.

I think the rankings for the transfers are from when they were coming out of high school. Which would mean that the level of talent coming into UConn is understated as Stevens would be much higher than #27 in a re-rank of her class. And with two years of experience she'll be far more impactful than a similarly ranked true freshman.

If Azura Stevens stayed at Duke POY and next year should be the frontrunner.

Megan's #2, huh. Can we return her?
Brett ranks Westbrook higher, but says that Megan could be a Diana- or Maya-type player. They were not #2 to anyone.

Brett also says the other 3 frosh are good perimeter shooters. Lexi and Andi are reported to be by everyone. Geno says that Mikayla needs to work on her shot, but can get to the rim with ease. Her #4 ranking reflects where she was before her injury. She is probably (at least) as good as Renee and almost as athletic as Moriah.

Regarding the transfers, this is what the knowledgeable Jim Fuller says about Azura: "Add in Stevens, who I would have ranked among the top five college players in the country had she remained at Duke." He's basically saying that Azura is a 1st Team AA player. :D:D:D

This group of 6 may be the best I've ever seen.

McCormick was on that blog talk radio show with Coach Bill yesterday and basically said that either Walker or Westbrook could be #1. Moved Westbrook ahead recently because he thinks she does more to get her teammates involved, but said last night that Walker would certainly learn to do that more at UConn.
