. . . comeback to pull out an incredible 14-13 victory in Little League World Series.

Once again we are reminded about what Mark Twain said that fiction writers are constrained to limit their plots to realistic possibilities. This game was impossible.

That was terrific. I was in the lounge of a local restaurant and some of the people really got into it.

Just reinforces that when things look bleak never give up and never give in. Keep fighting and sometimes you can turn things around with hard work and determination.

Go Westport!

The whole thing was my fault.

I went to the gym yesterday afternoon and got on a bike in front of the TV. The game was something like 5-3 Westport. I settled in to watch and before I knew it , Westport was in a 13-5 hole. I couldn't believe it. I had ruined their chance. In any event, feeling bad about the whole thing I moved on to some other equipment where there were no TVs and then went home. Later that evening I saw the news of the comeback.

So you could look at it two ways. First, the drama would not have been anywhere near as great if I had never watched. On the other hand, if I hadn't strategically moved away from the TV, they would have never won.

All I can say is that I am not watching today.

I wondered how such a comeback was even possible.

Now I know.

Over in Westport today every single citizen swears by whatever is holy that they NEVER thought of turning off their TV when their young heroes were down 13-6 with only five outs to go.:(

Yeah. Sure.
