Congrats Suzy. Now you can vacuum the house, wash the laundry, scrub the floors, clean the bathroom(s), prepare the meals and wash the dishes.
 
Others might wonder about running two refrigerators being (energy) efficient, especially on a generator. ;)
The efficiency issue wasn't on how much electricity I was using, it was on how much I was generating. The generator runs and what doesn't get used is wasted.

Nothing worse than losing power for extended period. I live in Houston and when Rita came through we lost power for 23 days, 3 hours and about 45 minutes. With 3 young kids and 95 degree temps, that was one of the worst experiences. I would have paid a lot of money to have gotten power up sooner.

Yikes, 23 days? I visited Houston for a few days in the summer many years ago and wow, the humidity was stifling. That must have been a real nightmare.
 
its been 100 degrees plus in Houston for the past 2 months or more
